The Thing That Feels
thirteen-song album — released in 2000
Songs of longing and otherness.

The Thing That Feels is Hannah's first full-length album. Five of the thirteen songs were inspired by Gregory Maguire's brilliant novel Wicked -- The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.

"Hannah Fury's album, The Thing That Feels, is at once uncanny and beautiful. The songs on the album are among the most haunting, delicate melodies I've ever heard. And many of the tunes were inspired by one of the most unusual novels ever written. Its literary inspiration aside, The Thing That Feels is dramatic, lovely, and imaginative. Hannah Fury's music is truly unique. There's absolutely no other artist that I can think of to accurately compare her to..." — Muruch

"...Beauty and darkness reside together often illuminated by the spark of caustic wit."

— Craig Gidney, spoonfed:amerika

"...The Thing That Feels is a truly enchanting experience."

— Octavia, Outburn
